| Project Juarez Juarez is our premier Introductory Short Term Mission Project. The trip is designed to be short, a minimum of 3 days, to accomodate for busy time schedules. The 3-day trip is perfect for families and designed to be inexpensive, starting as low as $395 for three days. Some of our teams stay at a very nice dormitory near the job site while other teams elect to stay at a nice hotel in Juarez. Staying at a hotel or in a safe dorm means that you can bring the family. The hotel option offers extra security since it helps to overcome the fear factor which naturally comes from leaving our country for another culture. We at COMMIT work very hard to ensure that our trips are comprehensive in their scope. We have found that 99% of our team members will go again on a short term trip and at least 60% of our team members are profoundly changed! For a sacrifice of a few short days, the church receives a motivated and mobilized believer! The Juarez trips are designed for that purpose. Its a balanced trip since we offer both construction and relationship/ministry opportunities within some of the poorest communities in the world where millions desperately need to know the love of Jesus. Most of the construction projects include church buildings, houses, school kitchens, orphan homes, community centers, and mission facilities to house our teams. Time permitting, our teams also visit one or two of the local orphanages and stop by the International Marketplace for some light shopping. Our teams also attend and participate in local worship services giving an opportunity for team members to experience church and special worship in a different culture. We often schedule longer trips for groups, service organizations, and churches desiring to offer their help for five, seven, ten, or fourteen days.
